Why I’m Running for UN Secretary-General

• The world is at a crossroads. We face rising inequality, climate emergencies, and a crisis of trust in global institutions. I am running for Secretary-General of the United Nations to restore that trust—and to ensure Africa is no longer on the margins of global decision-making.

• My journey—from the classrooms of Nigeria and Australia to UN missions in Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Afghanistan, Albania, Namibia, Turkmenistan, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, e-ESwatini, Liberia and South-Sudan—has taught me that leadership must be rooted in service, strategy, and solidarity.

• I believe the UN must evolve. It must become more transparent, more inclusive, and more responsive to the needs of ordinary people.

• My campaign is built on five pillars: peace through equity, climate justice, youth empowerment, inclusive multilateralism, and accountability.
